Job summary

The Camas School District seeks an assistant track coach for Skyridge Middle School. You will develop training programs, manage team dynamics, and promote the physical and mental well‑being of athletes, guiding players of varied skill levels to achieve their personal best. The stipend is $3,300 per season and the position is not benefit eligible.

First Aid/CPR is required or obtained upon hire. Previous track coaching experience and strong interpersonal skills are preferred; you will collaborate

Qualifications

• Previous experience coaching track.
• First Aid/CPR card required or obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of the team.
• Conduct regular practices, ensuring that all athletes receive appropriate instruction and feedback.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
• Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance skills.
• Manage behavior effectively during practices and competitions, employing behavior management techniques as necessary.
• Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress and expectations.
• Organize competitions and events, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled efficiently.
• Stay current with trends in sports coaching, physical education, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create a comprehensive athletic program.
