Job summary

Propel Schools is looking for an Assistant Middle School Track Coach for the 2026-2027 season starting this spring. Candidates should have track coaching experience and possess strong communication and planning skills. The role also involves supporting the head coach and athletic director in the management of the track program.

This position offers a seasonal stipend of $1,000, prorated based on the start date. Clearances and a commitment to professional development are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
• Preferred candidates will have student-athlete experience on the high school and/or intercollegiate level.
• Prior middle school coaching experience and USATF certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble coaching staff in collaboration with the head coach and athletic director.
• Support the Middle School’s track program with the head coach and other coaching staff.

Skills

Prior high school, middle school, and/or youth track coaching experience

Strong communication and relationship building skills

High level of personal organization and planning

Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
