Job summary

Mountainside Middle School in Mead, Washington seeks an Assistant Track & Field Coach for 7th/8th grade (up to 2 positions) for the Spring season. Responsibilities include instructing athletes on techniques and safety, organizing practices from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and supervising athletes during practices, games, and travel to promote the school’s interscholastic program.

Qualifications include being 19 or older for assistant roles, current First Aid/CPR certification, and a preferred Type II

Qualifications

Must be 19 or older for Assistant Coach and 21 or older for Head Coach.
Must have current First Aid/CPR certification or be able to acquire it by the start of the season.
Type II Driver’s License, preferred.
Understand the activity/sport, its safety practices, techniques, rules, and progression of skill development.

Responsibilities

Instruct athletes regarding techniques, rules, and safety practices of the sport.
Develops and organizes practice program; practices 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Supervise athletes from start of practice to end of activities; ensure safety and accountability.
Promote the interscholastic program and cooperate with district policies.
