Job Summary

Skyridge Middle School is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and inspirational assistant coach for our Girls Soccer program. We are not just looking for tactical coaches; we are looking for program-builders who understand that middle school athletics serve as a critical foundation for student‑growth, character development, and school culture.

Duties
  • Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of the team.
  • Conduct regular practices, ensuring that all athletes receive appropriate instruction and feedback.
  • Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
  • Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance skills.
  • Manage behavior effectively during practices and competitions, employing behavior management techniques as necessary.
  • Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress and expectations.
  • Organize competitions and events, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled efficiently.
  • Stay current with trends in sports coaching, physical education, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create a comprehensive athletic program.
Experience
  • Previous experience coaching soccer.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to educate and motivate athletes of all ages.
  • First Aid/CPR card required or obtained upon hire.
