Responsibilities

• Teach daily instructional support lessons to students on caseload.
• Serve as an inclusion teacher as needed.
• Differentiate curriculum with general education teachers.
• Ensure work with students with special needs aligns with academic goals.
• Write all IEPs for new Special Education students & revise existing IEPs.
• Coordinate outsourced Special Education testing and manage Consultants (e.g., SLT, OTR).
• Ensure SPED services comply with regulations.
• Manage paperwork (IEPs, 504s, records) with deadlines.
• Maintain regular communication with families/guardians.
• Create DOE-compliant CPR/CAP documents.
