Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Teach daily instructional support to students on caseload.
• Serve as an inclusion teacher to support high-need learners.
• Differentiate and modify curriculum with general education teachers.
• Align work with school academic goals for student achievement.
• Write all IEPs for new SPED students and revise existing IEPs.
• Coordinate outsourced SPED testing and manage consultants.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state SPED regulations.
• Maintain IEPs, 504s, and related paperwork with deadlines.
• Maintain regular communication with families and guardians.
• Create CPR/CAP documents to ensure DOE compliance.
• Enforce school-wide systems and routines in the classroom.
• Provide ongoing progress updates to students and families.
• Serve as homeroom teacher and student advisor.
