Qualifications

• Possess MA Special Education licensure or eligibility.
• Two years of professional training/experience with special education students.
• Knowledge of IDEA and MA Special Education laws.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver specialized instruction to meet grade-level targets and personal goals.
• Modify assessments and classwork for students with special needs.
• Assess progress against IEP goals and use data to plan instruction.
• Communicate with families regarding service delivery and progress.
• Develop IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Maintain up-to-date student records and progress notes.
• Participate on the intervention referral team.
• Lead weekly check-ins with grade-level team to review progress.
• Assist teachers in writing Present Levels of Performance.
• Provide professional development on special education topics.
• Attend staff meetings and governance activities.
• Foster restorative problem resolution with students/parents.
• Engage with school/community needs and initiate related activities.
• May perform other duties as directed by the principal.
