Responsibilities include teaching daily instructional support, serving as an inclusion teacher when needed, differentiating curriculum with general education colleagues, and ensuring alignment with academic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• License or certification not required prior to start date.
• A minimum of two years' teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting preferred, but not required.
• Preference will be given to applicants who share points of intersection with our students, such as language proficiency (Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic) or being a first-generation college graduate.

Responsibilities

• Teach daily instructional support lessons to students on caseload.
• Serve as an inclusion teacher as needed to support learners with high needs.
• Differentiate curriculum with general education teachers and adjust accommodations as appropriate.
• Ensure alignment of all work with the school’s academic goals for student achievement.
• Ensure that Special Education services are implemented in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Manage paperwork (IEPs, 504s, records, progress reports) with deadlines and accuracy.
• Maintain regular communication with students' parents/guardians and families.
