Job summary

Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School in Worcester, MA seeks an experienced Massachusetts-licensed High School Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. You will provide individualized and group instruction to students with disabilities, aligning supports with IEP goals and state DESE guidelines.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, flexible, and committed to inclusive education, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts DESE certification as a Special Education Teacher preferred, or MTEL equivalents.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in IEP meetings.
• Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Provide specialized instruction, accommodations, and modifications.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to align instructional strategies with IEP goals.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed.
• Maintain records of student performance and progress toward IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings with parents/guardians and school team.
• Provide consultation and support to other educators on accommodations and teaching strategies.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment and protect student confidentiality.
• Participate in required professional development and district initiatives.
