Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Massachusetts DESE certification as Special Education Teacher preferred, or MTEL requirements.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.
• SEI Endorsement is required.
• Ability to work with students, parents, and colleagues collaboratively.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with diverse learning needs including emotional, cognitive, or physical disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in IEP meetings.
• Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Provide specialized instruction, accommodations, and modifications in various settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to align instructional strategies with IEP goals.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction to meet goals.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress towards IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings with parents/guardians and school team.
• Provide consultation and support to educators regarding accommodations and teaching strategies.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Adhere to confidentiality and district policies.
• Engage in required professional development and continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
