Qualifications

• Massachusetts DESE certification as a Special Education Teacher preferred, or MTEL requirements.
• SEI Endorsement is required.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.
• Collaborative, team-oriented environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in IEP meetings.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide specialized instruction, accommodations, and modifications in various settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to align instructional strategies with IEP goals.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods to meet goals.
• Maintain records of student performance and progress toward IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings with parents, guardians, and school team.
• Provide consultation and support to other educators regarding accommodations and teaching strategies.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment and uphold confidentiality.
• Engage in required professional development and adapt teaching practices.
