Horton’s Kids is seeking a part-time Program Site Lead to join our Middle School programming team in Washington, DC. The role blends academic support, workforce development, mentorship, and life skills coaching to prepare youth for middle school success.

The ideal candidate is a strong mentor, detail-oriented program manager, and passionate advocate for youth development. Applicants will undergo standard screening and must be 18 or older.

Competenze

• 2+ years of experience with youth or postsecondary planning.
• Experience in youth workforce development, mentoring, or academic advising.
• Strong communication skills and trauma-informed lens.
• Comfortable facilitating workshops and leading a team.

Mansioni

• Lead daily implementation of middle school programming, including college/career prep, workshops, and mentorship.
• Support participants during CCR, resume-building, FAFSA nights, and tutoring.
• Build strong relationships with youth and maintain consistent communication with caregivers.
• Oversee mentor and volunteer engagement onsite.
• Monitor and support student attendance, program participation, and behavioral expectations.
• Support with the coordination of logistics for job shadows, field trips, and guest speakers.
• Support with family and community engagement events quarterly.
• Ensure accurate documentation of sign-ins, program data, and youth progress.
• Partner with schools and Horton’s Kids staff to support student success plans.
• Attend all training sessions and contribute to program development.
