Job summary

Windsor Public Schools is seeking a reading intervention teacher at Sage Park Middle School to support literacy across disciplines. You will plan and deliver Tier II and III reading instruction, assess students, and monitor progress to raise achievement.

Collaborating with MTSS teams and classroom teachers, you will create data-driven plans, provide feedback, and support staff through professional learning and targeted small-group instruction to foster a love of reading and measurable growth.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of reading instruction across foundational skills, comprehension, and fluency.
• Understanding of cognitive science related to reading instruction.
• Ability to differentiate instruction by student needs.
• Experience with data-driven progress monitoring and action plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Tier II and Tier III reading instruction.
• Administer diagnostic reading assessments and analyze results.
• Create evaluation instruments to monitor student progress and instructional effectiveness.
• Track student progress using formal documentation.
• Provide professional learning to staff when requested.
• Collaborate with MTSS team and staff to ensure literacy interventions.
• Deliver targeted instruction to individuals and small groups.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents.
