Impact Public Schools in Des Moines, WA is seeking a Paraprofessional to support middle school students with instruction and behavioral interventions. This in-person role reports to the School Principal and offers full-time, school-year employment with benefits.

The position emphasizes collaboration with teachers, data collection to improve instruction, and assisting with daily living activities as needed. A pathway to certification support is provided within the program.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree or higher from an accredited college.
• 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher.
• Qualifying score on the ETS paraeducator assessment or completion of an Apprenticeship program registered with WA Apprenticeship Council.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily instruction and behavior interventions for students on caseload (70%).
• Provide one-on-one or small group support during activities and implement behavior plans.
• Collect data on interventions and maintain records to track progress.
• Provide behavioral, social-emotional, and academic interventions aligned with student plans (IEP, BIP, Tier 2).
• Supervise students to ensure safety and support transitions during school day.
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote safe, inclusive play and transitions.
