Islander Middle School is seeking paraprofessionals to support instructional staff at Mercer Island, WA. Hours will vary and duties include supervising students, assisting with instructional materials, and operating standard office and AV equipment.

Paraprofessionals work in both general and special education settings, helping with classroom operations, tutoring in small groups, and ensuring a safe, conducive learning environment for students.

Formación

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the following: pass ParaPro Assessment, hold an AA degree, have 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits, or complete a registered apprentice program.

Responsabilidades

• Assist instructional staff in supervising students in school or on field trips.
• Prepare instructional materials with staff.
• Operate standard office and AV equipment.
• Tutor students in small groups as requested by staff.
• Support daily classroom operation and management.
• Escort students around campus as needed.
• Maintain a safe classroom environment and assist with learning facilities.
