Job summary

StudentNest Inc. is seeking tutors to support 6th grade math and related subjects in Lake Mary, Florida, beginning this September. This in-person role requires enthusiasm for helping students, strong communication, and reliable transportation.

You will teach in small groups during the school day, 2 days per week, about 6 hours per shift, with a 30-minute lunch. Pay is $29–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Florida teaching credential or bachelor's degree with Florida DOE Statement of Eligibility (ESE Certificate).
• Classroom experience teaching or supporting reading instruction.
• Direct experience supporting Special Education students and willingness to be trained in the Science of Reading.

Responsibilities

• Tutor 6th grade students in Middle School Math up to Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry.
• Support students in Special Education with IEPs.
• Provide small group tutoring sessions using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
• Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
