Job summary

StudentNest Group is seeking an in-person tutor focused on math for middle school students in Stevenson Ranch. This role emphasizes small-group instruction, using your materials and our curriculum to engage learners after school hours.

Ideal candidates have at least 60 college credits, one year of student-related experience, and are ready to obtain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance. The position offers $22–$24 per hour for Tue–Thu 2:30–7:30pm with flexible opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of offer.
• Provide three professional references.
• Minimum of sixty college credits completed.
• At least one year of student-related experience.
• Detail-oriented and highly dependable.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from assignments.
• Able to provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted instruction in math to support middle school students.

Hours:

Pay:

• $22.00-$24.00, dependent on experience, department worked and other factors

In this role, you will:

• Deliver targeted instruction in math to support middle school aged students.


• Provide small-group tutoring using provided curriculum, evidence-based strategies, and educational technology.


• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles, academic needs, and developmental levels. Prepare lesson plans for sessions during designated preparation time.
