Job summary

StudentNest Group is hiring tutors in the Los Angeles area to deliver targeted math instruction to middle school students. The role involves small-group sessions using provided curriculum and tech tools, with a focus on differentiating strategies to reach diverse learners.

Shifts are Mon/Wed/Thu 3:00 PM–5:00 PM, totaling 9–12 hours per week, with potential for 12+ hours via additional virtual or in-person hours. Competitive hourly pay of $23–$25.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer.
• Must meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements for the position.
• Provide three professional references.
• Minimum of sixty college credits.
• At least one year of student-related experience.
• Detail-oriented and highly dependable.
• Effective communicator.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of hire.

Schedule:

• Mon, Weds & Thurs, 3:00 PM TO 5:00 PM.

Hours:

• 9-12 hours per week, with the possibility of 12+ hours per week within 30 days by working additional virtual or in-person hours.

Pay:

• $23 per hour standard
• $24 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)
• $25 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor
