Job summary

Francis Howell School District is seeking a Building Information Specialist - Middle School to manage student academic and attendance records, support enrollment and scheduling, and ensure data accuracy within the school's information systems.

This role serves as a liaison to the District Information Technology Department and provides critical support to the school's administrative team. The position reports to the Building Principal and works 7:00 am - 3:30 pm at our middle school in Missouri.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with student records and attendance data preferred.
• Strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
• Familiarity with codes, regulations, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Schedule management: assist in developing and maintaining the master class schedule and enter/update data for demographics, courses, and instructors.
• Transportation coordination: collaborate with transportation to ensure accuracy of student information for bus routes.
• Meeting attendance: attend department and staff meetings to gather and convey information.
• Data entry: manage data for student records, transcripts, and course information with accuracy.
• Student accounts: maintain student activity accounts per district policies.
• Record maintenance: oversee manual and electronic records including residency, grades, transcripts, and attendance.
• Enrollment procedures: manage enrollments, pre-registration, and withdrawals.
• Documentation: prepare and process standard documents and reports such as report cards and schedules.
• Software support: coordinate software support to maintain records.
• Communication: liaison between parents, teachers, and district departments.
• Support: provide secretarial support to summer school and site staff.
