Job summary

KIPP Capital Region is seeking a Middle School Athletic Coordinator to manage athletic programs across Albany and Troy, NY. You will team with coaches and leaders to schedule practices, games, and events, while ensuring equipment, facilities, and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires previous athletic program coordination or coaching experience in K-12 or higher education, along with flexibility for after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating athletic programs at K-12, collegiate, or community level.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule outside regular hours.
• Development of safe, inclusive athletic environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school leaders and coaches to schedule practices, games, and events.
• Ensure availability and maintenance of athletic equipment and facilities.
• Coordinate facility use with operations; assist in event logistics including transportation and officials schedules.
• Ensure compliance with NYS and local athletic association rules and safety standards.
• Process student eligibility forms and injury reports with the School Nurse and Director of Athletics.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inventories and event schedules.
• Support evening and weekend athletic events; perform other duties as outlined by the Director of Athletics.
