Job summary

KIPP Capital Region in Albany and Troy is seeking an Instructional Coach to support teachers and the leadership team for grades 5-8. You will observe instruction, help design units and year-long curricula, and analyze data to improve instruction and assessments.

Collaborating with the academic team, you will implement school-wide assessments, guide instructional decisions, and promote a standards-based, equity-driven culture across campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 5 years teaching experience preferred.
• Experience leading teams and designing curriculum.
• Experience in urban schools or diverse communities preferred.
• Flexible schedule outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Observe instructional delivery and provide feedback to teachers.
• Support unit and lesson design aligned to year-long curriculum.
• Analyze data and modify curriculum and assessments.
• Collaborate with academic staff to share best practices.
• Coach teachers with lesson and unit improvements using backward design.
• Advise on instructional strategies and intervention programs for struggling students.
• Lead curriculum alignment across grade levels and content areas.
