Job summary

KIPP Capital Region is seeking an experienced Middle School Athletic Coordinator to manage athletic programs for Albany & Troy campuses. You will work with coaches to schedule practices, games, and events, while ensuring equipment and facilities are ready and compliant with safety rules.

The role requires prior coordination or coaching in K-12 or similar settings, flexible hours, and relevant safety certifications. Join a mission-driven team dedicated to equity and student success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience coordinating athletic programs at K-12, college, or community levels.
• Valid NYSPHSAA coaching certification or willingness to obtain.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership teams and coaches to manage athletic programs and scheduling for practices, games, and events.
• Ensure availability and maintenance of athletic equipment and facilities.
• Coordinate facility use with the operations team for practices, games, and events.
• Support event logistics including transportation, crowd control, and officials' schedules.
• Ensure programs comply with NYS and local rules and safety standards.
• Process eligibility forms and injury reports with the School Nurse and Director of Athletics.
• Maintain records of student eligibility and equipment inventories.
• Oversee evening and weekend athletic events to meet safety and policy standards.
• Perform other duties as outlined by the Director of Athletics.
