Best Buy in Richfield, Minnesota, is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Middle Mile Logistics and a team of five Senior Analysts responsible for coordinating freight movements across the Middle Mile network. Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation.
  • 4+ years of direct and/or indirect people leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple operational responsibilities, projects, and stakeholder communications in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience establishing best practices and standardizing processes across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Middle Mile Logistics operations with focus on continuous improvement in operational performance, network efficiency, customer service, and the evolution of delivery models to support business needs.
  • Oversee the design, development, and execution of processes that improve operational effectiveness and enhance financial and operational reporting.
  • Utilize financial metrics and operational data to evaluate business performance, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams, including Distribution Operations, Retail Field and Corporate teams, Category and Category Enablement teams, and transportation carriers to achieve business objectives.
  • Partner with third‑party carrier leadership teams to establish performance expectations, drive accountability, and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to the team by ensuring alignment on responsibilities, best practices, decision rights, accountability, and expected outcomes.
  • Lead Middle Mile peak/holiday planning, strategy development, and execution in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Job description

The Middle Mile Logistics Senior Manager supports Best Buy through direct leadership of a team of five Senior Analysts responsible for coordinating freight movements across the Middle Mile Logistics network within Supply Chain. This role is responsible for ensuring strong execution of Middle Mile freight movements, driving key performance indicators, and managing the Middle Mile Logistics financial budget. The Senior Manager develops and maintains relationships with internal partners (Retail, Distribution, Finance, etc.) and external transportation carriers and is responsible for carrier leadership engagement, performance management, and accountability. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to analyze, evaluate, and translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights. The Senior Manager also plays a key role in, and often leads, cross‑functional initiatives that drive improvements in operational performance and financial results.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

Basic qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation
  • 4+ years of direct and/or indirect people leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple operational responsibilities, project initiatives, and stakeholder communications in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.

Preferred qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience within a large, consumer‑focused retail, transportation, or supply chain organization
  • 5+ years of direct people leadership experience
  • Experience utilizing financial and operational analytics to drive business performance and decision‑making
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions
