Job summary

MCHENRY COMMUNITY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT 15 seeks a Mid Shift Custodian for Duker Elementary School. This 12-month, full-time position runs 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with an ASAP start date.

The role involves cleaning, securing the building, and basic maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Illinois driver's license, and some prior school custodian experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Illinois Driver's license and ability to travel within district.
• Prior school custodian experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, securing the building, and seasonal grounds duties.
• Maintenance and minor repair of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and custodial equipment.
• Read/interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Work occasionally during non-scheduled hours and follow written and oral instructions.
• Set work priorities and work independently; meet schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain records of work practices and projects; collaborate with others.
