Job summary

McHenry Community Consolidated School District 15 is seeking a PM Custodian for McHenry Middle School. The role is 12 months, 2:45 pm–11:15 pm, Monday–Friday, with ASAP start. The position includes cleaning, building security, seasonal grounds, and basic repairs under the Custodial Supervisor.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Illinois driver's license, with travel within the district. Prior school custodian experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Illinois Driver's license and ability to travel within district.
• Prior school custodian experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning, securing the building, and seasonal grounds duties.
• Responsible for ongoing maintenance and minor repair of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and custodial equipment.
• Ability to read/interpret safety rules, operating manuals, maintenance instructions.
• Ability to work occasionally during non-scheduled work hours.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Set work priorities and work independently.
• Meet schedules and deadlines.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships, work cooperatively with others.
• Maintain records related to work practices and projects.
• Perform such other appropriate duties as may be assigned by the Custodial Supervisor.
