Job summary

MCHENRY COMMUNITY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT 15 seeks a Mid Shift Custodian for Duker Elementary School. Reports to the Custodial Supervisor. Terms: 12 Month, Full Time, 10:00 am – 6:30 pm, Monday–Friday.

Start ASAP; location at Chauncey Duker Elementary School. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, valid Illinois driver's license, ability to travel within the district. Prior school custodian experience preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Illinois Driver's license and ability to travel within district.
Prior school custodian experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean the building and secure premises, including seasonal grounds duties.
Perform ongoing maintenance and minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and custodial equipment.
Read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
Work occasionally outside scheduled hours.
Follow oral and written instructions and set priorities to work independently.
Meet deadlines and maintain records of work practices and projects.
Collaborate with others and maintain effective working relationships.
Perform other duties as assigned by Custodial Supervisor.
