Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of dispatch experience in a warehouse, distribution or transportation environment.
• Inbound and outbound dispatch experience.
• Experience with appointment scheduling and carrier communication.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Strong computer skills, preferably with transportation and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide break and lunch coverage for inbound and outbound dispatchers across both shifts.
• Cover dispatch during planned absences and leaves, maintaining the same level of service as the primary dispatchers.
• Rotate between inbound and outbound tasks to stay ready to step into either seat at short notice.
• Schedule, confirm and coordinate inbound and outbound appointments with carriers, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and dock capacity.
• Manage and update scheduling systems to reflect accurate appointment times and availability.
