Job summary

Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation Platform in Glen Allen, Virginia. You will design roads, highways, and traffic systems to improve mobility across the Commonwealth.

You will collaborate with planners, engineers, contractors, and public agencies, manage scheduling, cost estimates, and mentor junior staff while upholding high technical standards. A PE license or EIT with intent to obtain PE within a year is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or related field).
• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in transportation design and/or project management.
• PE license in Virginia or EIT with the ability to obtain PE within 1 year.
• Familiarity with VDOT standards and project delivery processes.
• Proficiency in MicroStation preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop transportation projects including roads, highways, and traffic management systems.
