Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a Mid/Senior Roadway Engineer to design and manage transportation projects, under the Transportation platform. This role focuses on safer, smarter infrastructure across Virginia and involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

The candidate will bring 4–8 years of specialized experience, a PE license or EIT with PE pathway, and proficiency with MicroStation. A 10K sign-on bonus is available for this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or related field.
• PE license in Virginia or EIT with intent to obtain PE within 1 year.
• Familiarity with VDOT standards and project delivery processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape transportation projects including roads and traffic management systems.
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, contractors and public agencies.
• Assist with scheduling, cost estimation, and resource planning.
• Prepare designs and documentation aligned with VDOT standards.
• Mentor junior team members and uphold technical standards.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
