Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join the Transportation Platform in Virginia Beach. You will design and develop roads, highways, and traffic systems, collaborating with planners, engineers, and public agencies to deliver high-quality projects.

Ideal candidates bring a civil/transportation engineering degree, 4–8 years of related experience, and a PE license or EIT with plans to obtain PE within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering required.
• 4–8 years of hands-on transportation design/project management experience.
• PE license in Virginia or EIT with ability to obtain PE within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop transportation projects including roads, highways, and traffic management systems.
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, contractors, and public agencies to deliver results.
• Assist with project management activities such as scheduling, cost estimation, and resource planning.
• Prepare engineering designs and documentation that align with VDOT standards.
• Lead by example by mentoring junior team members and upholding technical standards.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.

What You'll Need:
