We're seeking a motivated and successful Mid-Market Account Executive to join our growing sales team at Customer.io. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a thriving, fast-paced environment and elevate your sales career. Ideal candidates will have experience with mid-market deals in the MarTech or SaaS space and seek roles with upward mobility potential.

As a Mid-Market Account Executive, you will represent Customer.io to our largest prospective customers.

This role involves full-cycle sales activities (prospect, demo, close). You will source your own opportunities and also handle qualified inbound and outbound demand generated by our SDR team.

We have a supportive Customer Success team to transition customers to and a Technical Support team to assist with technical inquiries, ensuring comprehensive support for our customers.

Our AEs manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. They also work with inbound and outbound leads sourced by our sales development team.

We provide a supportive environment with a Customer Success team and Technical Support to help you succeed.

Some things you'll do...

  • Prospect within our ICP in the Americas through cold and warm outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn).
  • Handle qualified leads, conduct discovery calls (using MEDDPICC), and close sales.
  • Collaborate with the SDR team to improve lead quality and sales strategies.
  • Schedule and deliver online demos to qualified prospects.
  • Identify customer needs and demonstrate how Customer.io's solutions can address them.
  • Maintain and report on sales metrics, trends, and administrative tasks.
  • Explain and showcase our products' features and benefits.

About you...

  • Located in the Americas.
  • At least 2 years of top performance in a B2B SaaS Account Executive role, preferably in Marketing Technology.
  • Proven track record of quota achievement.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar sales frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional phone presence.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and recommend relevant solutions.
  • Capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem solver with customer-centric mindset.
  • Growth mindset and customer-first attitude.

About Customer.io

Our mission is to power automated communication that people enjoy receiving. Over 7,100 internet businesses use Customer.io to manage and track email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messages, leveraging behavioral data to increase relevance.

Compensation includes a starting salary of $95,000 USD base + $95,000 variable, totaling $190,000 USD OTE, subject to market adjustments.
