Job summary

HOLT Group seeks a Truck Service Technician 2 for its HTT - Pharr operation. You will diagnose, repair, and recondition truck engines and related equipment, with guidance as needed and opportunities to mentor junior technicians.

The role requires at least two years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant certifications when available. CDL and ASE credentials are a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school accred. preferred.
  • Minimum two years experience; three+ preferred.
  • CDL Class A or B preferred; ASE – Medium/Heavy Truck certs preferred.
  • AC and Brake System certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and recondition engine systems and related equipment.
  • Perform thorough engine and equipment repairs with supervision.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble parts to factory specs.
  • Provide quality control inspections and participate in road testing.
  • Document service reports, parts requisitions, and timecards.
  • Mentor lower level technicians and participate in safety training.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, and comply with safety policies.
