Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or process engineering.
• 4–7 years of process design experience for food and beverage facilities.
• 4–7 years of preparing process flow diagrams and P&IDs.
• 4–7 years sizing and specification of process and process utility equipment.
• 4–7 years developing project scope, budget and schedules.
• Work with professional services, process engineering, and food and beverage firms is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% for on-site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop process design basis and select unit operations.
• Prepare process flow diagrams and P&IDs.
• Coordinate with other project disciplines (engineers, designers, architects).
• Prepare process flow diagrams and piping layouts.
• Prepare mass and energy balances.
• Size and specify process and process utility equipment.
• Procure equipment and evaluate bids.
• Assist with project scope, budget and schedules.
• Coordinate contractor schedules for equipment installation.
• Develop sub-contractor scope of work.
• Develop cost estimates and proposals.
• Write proposals and negotiate with clients.
• Update drawings and verify corrections.
• Provide client presentations and contract administration.
• Lead process engineer on specific projects as client contact.
• Develop equipment performance requirements.
• Create P&IDs and layout reviews.
• Oversee equipment installations and commissioning.
