Job summary

Topstep is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to contribute to real-time trading platform components. You’ll work on services and APIs powering market data delivery and brokerage integrations in a modern .NET stack and occasionally on the React/TypeScript frontend.

You’ll own features end-to-end, collaborate with product, and grow in distributed systems and production operations with guidance from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of software engineering experience building production features.
• Strong C# and .NET proficiency with production services.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and service integration.
• Experience with databases and basic schema design.
• Experience writing automated tests and production debugging.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features for services and APIs powering core trading platform capabilities.
• Own features from design through deployment with senior team support.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into solutions.
• Write clean, well-tested code emphasizing reliability and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident responses with the team.
