Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking an Associate Director, Mid-Level Giving to advance donor engagement and gifts across Colorado. This full-time role manages a large portfolio of mid-level donors, builds relationships, and coordinates major gift opportunities while connecting supporters to VOA Colorado's mission.

The successful candidate will have 4+ years in fundraising or donor management, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years of fundraising, development, sales, or donor engagement.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance for local donor visits.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 100+ mid-level donors and prospects, creating personalized cultivation plans.
• Build relationships through in-person donor meetings, phone calls, outreach, and program tours.
• Identify and qualify new donors, prepare donor-centered proposals, and connect with program leaders/Board as appropriate.
• Set fundraising and donor engagement goals; maintain an active gift pipeline and report progress.
• Document donor contacts and moves in Salesforce; coordinate with major gifts team.
