Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking an Associate Director, Mid-Level Giving in Denver to manage a portfolio of 100+ donors giving $1,000–$9,999 annually and to build meaningful donor relationships. The role reports to the Senior Director of Major Gifts and emphasizes cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to increase donor engagement.

As a full-time Advancement team member, you will identify new prospects, conduct personal visits, and connect supporters with program leaders and Board

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience in fundraising, development, sales, or relationship-based donor engagement.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 100+ mid-level donors and prospects ($1,000–$9,999 annually).
• Build relationships through in-person meetings, phone calls, outreach, and tours of VOA Colorado programs.
• Identify and qualify new donors, prepare donor-centered proposals, and connect supporters with program leaders, executive leadership, and Board members when appropriate.
• Set and meet fundraising and donor engagement goals; maintain an active gift pipeline and report progress monthly/quarterly.
• Document donor contacts and moves management activity in Salesforce; coordinate with the major gifts team.
