Job summary

Ryder is seeking a mid-level Diesel Technician in Front Royal, Virginia, to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles. The role offers a second shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm) with hourly pay of $26.00 and benefits as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic tools, and a background in diesel mechanics. CDL- Class A preferred with eligibility to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification is preferred.
• Basic tools are required for daily work.
• Experience with mechanical repair of automotive gas/diesel engines is expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
