Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Manassas, Virginia is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to perform maintenance and repair on heavy-duty vehicles. The role uses state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools in a safety-first shop, with a Monday–Friday schedule and weekends off.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in repair
• Experience with heavy-duty vehicles preferred
• CDL-A preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems with diagnostic equipment
• Performs preventive maintenance and component inspections
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
• Uses shop management system for documentation and work orders
