Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Middleton, Wisconsin. You will service heavy-duty vehicles, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose complex issues using state-of-the-art diagnostics.

The role offers a Second Shift schedule (2:30 pm–12:30 am), weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match. New ASE certifications qualify for bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• 2+ years of classroom training and work experience in mechanical repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as needed.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System for documentation.
• Ensures compliance with safety and DOT/MOT guidelines.
