HORUS Technology Solutions, Inc. seeks a Mid-Level Java Developer to join a software development team. You will design, develop, and manage Java-based applications with a strong focus on delivering reliable software.

The role requires hands-on experience with SpringBoot, Hibernate, Grails, React, and SQL. You’ll work within the SDLC, collaborate with clients and other developers, and participate in on-site briefings in the Leesburg, VA area with some remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of Java development experience.
• Experience with SpringBoot, Hibernate, Grails and UI frameworks such as React.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, Confluence and Agile & Open-Source project tools.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Job description

HORUS is seeking a Mid-Level Java Developer. This role will work as part of a software development team and be responsible for designing, developing, and managing Java-based applications. Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a deep understanding of the Java programming language and is familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC). A top candidate should be very client focused. To be a strong team player, you must be proactive in identifying issues and risks, and work with the client and the team to be a trusted advisor. Another challenge is maintaining an excellent level of current operational support while planning and integrating new enhancements and technologies. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Proven experience as a Java Developer. Experience with Java frameworks (SpringBoot, Hibernate, Grails) and understanding of UI frameworks such as React. Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. Experience with database architecture and design (SQL). Familiarity with Java testing tools. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently. Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Work Location: Work is primarily remote with a job site in Leesburg VA; however customer meetings and badging process will be onsite in Frederick MD. Ideal candidates will reside in the Washington DC metro area.
