Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a mid-level associate to join our complex litigation group in Phoenix, defending clients in high-stakes matters with aviation and transportation industry focus.

Candidates will demonstrate excellent writing, broad litigation experience, strong academics, client service orientation, and skill in analyzing complex contractual, jurisdictional, choice-of-law and admiralty issues; appellate clerkship is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing skills demonstrated by clerkship, law review, moot court or publication.
• Experience with all stages of litigation: discovery, motions, working with experts, trial.
• Superior academic credentials.
• Commitment to excellent client service and client-centered practice.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues (contractual, jurisdictional, choice-of-law, admiralty).
• Clerkship experience, especially at the appellate level, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in high-stakes, complex litigation matters for national and international significance.
• Contribute to matters with emphasis on aviation and transportation sectors.
• Collaborate with teams across US offices and mentor junior associates.
