Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Plumber II in Austin, TX who will perform routine to moderately complex repairs, maintenance, and installations across commercial systems in office buildings, schools, hospitals, and more. You will work independently on standard tasks while assisting senior plumbers and mentoring entry-level team members as needed.

Current role emphasizes safety, code compliance, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on commercial plumbing service, repair, installation, and maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; trade training preferred; journeyman license preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on commercial systems.
• Diagnose leaks, clogs, fixture issues, pumps, and pipe corrosion with guidance for complex cases.
• Install/replace fixtures, water heaters, pumps, and piping per codes and blueprints.
• Conduct backflow testing (certified) and water quality checks as applicable.
• Lead standard service calls: communicate with customers, coordinate parts, and complete work with follow-up.
• Document work orders, service reports, photos, and recommendations for billing and quality tracking.
