Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a mid-level associate (4–6 years) to join our complex litigation group, handling high-stakes matters in aviation and transportation across US offices. The position offers opportunities for growth within a leading international firm.

Success requires excellent writing, extensive litigation experience, superior academic credentials, a strong client-service mindset, and the ability to analyze complex legal issues. Clerkship experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing skills demonstrated by clerkship, law review, moot court, or publication.
• Experience with all stages of litigation including pre-trial discovery, motions practice, working with experts, and trial.
• Superior academic credentials.
• Willingness to commit to excellent client service and a client-centered practice.
• Comfort with analyzing complex legal issues, such as contractual, jurisdictional, choice-of-law, and admiralty issues.
• Clerkship experience, especially at the appellate level, is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in high-stakes, complex litigation matters of national and international significance.
• Handle all stages of litigation from discovery through trial.
• Collaborate with experts and colleagues to prepare compelling arguments and defenses.
• Deliver excellent client service and maintain a client-centered practice.
