Job summary
Quantum Research Intl. is seeking a System Administrator - Mid level to join our Huntsville, AL team.
The role focuses on designing and implementing system and platform architectures across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, with emphasis on security and high availability for DoW and Army frameworks. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in systems or networking, TS clearance eligibility, and hands-on expertise with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory/DNS, virtualization
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a systems and/or networking environment.
- Active Top Secret Clearance; SCI eligibility.
- Hands-on Active Directory, DNS, and STIGs experience.
- Proven virtualization experience with VMware vCenter/ESXi.
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux in production.
- Experience with backup/recovery and security administration.
Responsibilities
- Lead design of systems across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Provide technical guidance to a team of engineers and technicians.
- Ensure architectural alignment with DoW cloud and Army security frameworks.
- Develop high-availability, redundancy, and DR solutions.
- Serve as technical advisor and architecture authority.
- 3rd level support for Windows, Linux, and AWS incidents.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server systems across on-prem and AWS.
- Plan, design, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems for reliability.
- Coordinate discussions with stakeholders and produce briefing materials.
- Hands-on administration of Windows Server (2016–2025) and Linux in production.
- Support Authority to Operate (ATO) on government networks.
