Job summary

Quantum Research Intl. in Huntsville, AL seeks a mid-level System Administrator to design and implement system and platform architectures for the Army Critical Information and Exposure Reporting System (ACIERS). The role emphasizes cloud, security, automation, and high availability.

Mission:

Quantum Research Intl. is seeking a motivated mid SystemAdministrator to work as a member of their team in our Huntsville, AL. The Systems Administrator is responsible for designing and implementing the overall system and platform architecture supporting the Army Critical Information and Exposure Reporting System (ACIERS). This role provides technical leadership in cloud computing, automation, interoperability, security, and high-availability architectures.

Job Responsibilities :

• Lead design of systems across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments at a variety of Information Levels.
• Provide technical guidance to a team of network and system engineers and infrastructure technicians.
• Ensure architectural alignment with DoW cloud and Army security frameworks.
• Develop high-availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Serve as technical advisor and architecture authority.
• Provide 3rd level support for Windows, Linux, and AWS-related incidents
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server systems, both physical and virtual, across on-premises and AWS environments.
• Plan, design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems to ensure operational functionality, availability, and reliability
• Coordinate and lead discussions with customer stakeholders on subject matter areas, generate required contract reporting/courses of action, and produce briefing materials.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Windows Server (2016–2025) and Linux distributions in a production environment.
• Support compliance efforts in pursuit of Authority to Operate (ATO) on government networks.
