Job summary

SOCOTEC/AEG is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth in the Mid-Atlantic region. You will build client relationships, sponsor interactions to win work, and oversee outreach, opportunity identification, and the proposal process across multiple service lines.

You will report to the President and participate in the Management Team, collaborating with marketing and technical leaders to drive revenue and strategic account development. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing relationships with public- and private-sector clients in engineering, architecture, environmental, transportation, construction management, or infrastructure industries.
• Experience working with public agencies, municipalities, DOTs, transit agencies, utilities, and private developers is highly desirable.
• An established professional network within the Mid-Atlantic region is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management.
• CRM experience with Deltek VantagePoint or Vision is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform market research to identify opportunities and outreach activities.
• Develop a strategic business development plan for PA, DE, MD, Northern VA, and DC Metro territory.
• Establish executive relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to identify opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with state DOTs, municipalities, and private developers.
• Maintain a qualified sales pipeline and annual revenue forecast.
• Identify strategic pursuits and coordinate go/no-go decisions with technical leadership.
• Coordinate opportunity tracking from lead generation through contract award.
• Assist in developing capture strategies, proposals, and presentations.
• Attend industry networking events to build client relationships.
