Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our MICU team in a 36-hour per week schedule. You will provide comprehensive nursing care using a structured nursing process and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing, has at least one year of RN experience, and possesses an SC or compact-state RN license with current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• One year of RN work experience preferred.
• SC or compact-state RN licensure required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Direct and lead assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver age-appropriate care.
• Deliver patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment with respect for patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Engage in professional practice governance, peer review, and ongoing development to promote clinical excellence.
• Coordinate care management to improve patient outcomes and prioritize clinical needs.
