Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a part-time Registered Nurse for the MICU at Carolinas Medical Center: Mercy. The role requires a BSN (preferred) and active RN license with 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

You will provide nursing care, document in EHR, and participate in quality initiatives while maintaining patient safety and collaboration with the care team. Shifts are Saturday/Sunday with variable Friday, 24 hours per week, and pay range is $38.20–$57.30 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution.
• Pursues professional development and maintains certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making.
• Appropriately delegates and documents in EHR.
• May float to other units within service area.
• Provide age-appropriate care and document accordingly.
