Medical University of South Carolina seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the MICU to provide high-quality patient care using the nursing process and to lead a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced critical care setting. Minimum requirements include an Associate's Degree in Nursing, SC Board licensure (or compact state) and AHA/Red Cross BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in SC or compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• At least one year of nursing experience in ICU or acute care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.
• Provide patient/family centered care using the nursing process and focusing on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment through patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Demonstrates professionalism, leadership, and accountability within a shared governance model.
• Coordinates delivery of patient care services through care management principles to improve outcomes.
• Engages in professional growth and promotes a healthy work environment.
