Responsibilities

• Supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication across shifts through staff meetings and huddles.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care and operations.
• Delegates care to appropriate healthcare workers per policy.
• Identifies expected outcomes to guide continuity of care and operations.
• Evaluates progress toward outcomes and disseminates information to the team.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and meds.
• Manages patient flow and staffing based on volume and acuity.
